Press meetings

It is increasingly difficult to pry journalists on understaffed publications free of their offices, so these are best kept for major announcements with genuine media interest. When it is decided to use this method of communication, we will organise all aspects.

We recommend that these are only used when you have a major announcement to make. We would define that as something the press would consider major, not what you would consider major. With smaller staffs and tighter budgets, the press need a very good reason to leave their offices these days, so press conferences are not as popular with the press as they once were, and a well written press release can achieve the same results.
